Born on Isle of Man I attended Buchan School; after A’levels I went on to study for  a BA (Hons) from the University of Central Lancashire in Business Studies.

After University I worked in the IOM Finance Sector at the prestigious Coutts Bank looking after High Net Worth client’s Offshore Trusts and Companies.  Then a move to Anglo Irish Trust where I was Business Development Manager spending a lot of time in Geneva, Austria, London and The US.

Keen to work for myself I left the Finance Sector and bought a gym in Ramsey in 2002 and began expanding and developing it.  Training first with Body Control Pilates at Neals Yard in London then qualifying to Level III with Future Fit as a Pilates Instructor and Personal Trainer.   I also wanted to add on massage and beauty treatments to my qualifications so trained at The IOM College for those.

Whilst owning The Gym I also worked at Brightlife as a massage therapist and taught my Pilates classes at various locations around the Island: Peel Centenary Centre, Union Mills Hall, Braddan Church Hall, Knockaloe School Rooms to name a few getting myself teaching experience and established as a Contemporary Pilates Teacher.

In 2012 I went to Bali for a month to do my Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training.

After birth of my son in 2014 I stopped all my mobile Pilates classes and now only teach from my Studios in Ramsey – I teach 8 Pilates Classes per week and take 14-16 people per class.

In 2016 I closed The Gym and the space is now Studios rented out for Classes and Alternative Health services – The Pilates Yoga and Dance Studios.

Having used Tropic Skincare for some time I eventually opened a Tropic account March 2024 and have loved this latest add on to my Business – I became a Tropic Leader November 2024 and have recently been recognised in the top 10 of Tropic Leaders for sponsoring and recruiting of new Ambassadors (with 35 now signed up in my team April 26) and more to come!

I was a keen Horse Rider,  I love Cats (I have 4 and I look after Thomas the famous Ramsey Town Cat) and I also have a springer spaniel.  I enjoy skiing every year and can hand on heart say I love my work – teaching classes, giving skincare advice and doing relaxing facial massages for my lovely clients – very blessed to work for myself doing something that I love.
